Couple Therapy Training in Action

This training workshop is for counselors, psychotherapists and others who wish to enhance their work with couples. It is suitable for participants with all levels of experience. Incorporating experiential methods into your work with couples can enliven and inspire both therapist and clients.

This workshop focuses on the use of structured conscious dialogue, action methods and psychodrama theory in working with couples. We will use practical action techniques such as mirroring, doubling, and role reversal to enhance your skill and confidence in working with couples to improve their relationships. Attention will be given to transforming dynamics such as criticism, blaming and shaming; psychological healing; and specific concerns such as affairs, addictions, violence and crisis. Participants will be provided ample time to practice these techniques with generous coaching.

Walter Logeman

is a Registered Psychotherapist, a Certified Psychodramatist and

Trainer, Educator and Practitioner (TEP) from New Zealand, who specializes in couple therapy. Walter has a background in teaching and social work. He is a trainer at the Christchurch Institute for Training in Psychodrama and a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist. www.psybernet.co.nz
