Psychodrama Core Training Group for Professional Development and Personal Growth

Bay Area Moreno Institute (BAMI) will be accepting applications for the 2016-17 Psychodrama Core Training Group (CTG) beginning July 1, 2016.

Training is open to professionals and students in the fields of mental health, law, substance abuse and recovery, creative arts therapies, religion, human services, personnel management, group facilitation and education, and those wanting to further their knowledge of psychodrama.

Core Training Group Topics:
1. Psychodrama with Survivors of Trauma:
This workshop provides the opportunity to learn safe and effective action strategies for working with survivors of trauma, including elements of the Therapeutic Spiral Model (TSM). Learn how to use the Trauma Survivor's Intrapsychic Role Atom (TSIRA) to assess a client's strengths and ability to contain, while exploring internalized trauma roles safely and effectively. We will use Sandtray to enhance our experience and deepen our learning.
This workshop is open to professionals and to those on the path of healing from trauma.
2. Neuroscience Meets Psychodrama:
The Neurobiology of Trauma
Drawing from The Therapeutic Spiral Model, Somatic Attachment Therapy, mindfulness and the theory of neuro-plasticity, we will explore techniques and methods to help ourselves and others stay in the window of tolerance where healing is optimal. Our focus on the body and regulation will support access to spontaneity and creativity. Brain anatomy will be put into action.
