With Sylvia Israel
Creating safety before moving into trauma work is essential for the deepest level of healing. In order to minimize re-traumatization, the primary task for a therapist in treating trauma is to create an environment of safety and acceptance along with stabilizing the client. This includes helping clients build internal and external resources. Drawing from the Therapeutic Spiral Model of psychodramatic trauma work, we will explore various action methods that provide containment and safety. Participants will learn and experience clinical action structures and explore applications to their own practice with individuals or groups.
